Our community has always embraced Rainbows United's mission and cause. That is why it is so hard to announce the news that the organization is facing a great challenge and plans to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
We are sorry about this development because we know it directly affects the children and families who benefit from Rainbows' services and the employees who provide them. Bringing potential to life for children with special needs is why the community has volunteered and donated and cared. Helping children succeed is why our dedicated staff works hard every day to encourage, listen, educate, train, and support those who seek help from Rainbows United.
We are doing everything we can to address the situation quickly and gather the information needed. We believe that filing bankruptcy allows Rainbows the time to make plans for possible reorganization to serve the children, their families and the community.
On behalf of the Board, we know there are many questions and we will continue to communicate as we know more. Our top priorities are to children and families and to our employees. We are committed to Rainbows' mission, and we will need the community's help to ensure the needs are met in the future.
